Program objectives.

The objectives of CEP programs are to assist non-profit organizations to:

Raise awareness of the resources available locally and internationally on environments and sustainable developments.

Enhance the professional perfomance of workers in the field especially as it relates to environmental issues and information handling techniques.

Develop their intervention capacity with a well collated, packaged and disseminated environment and sustainable development information and "best practices ".

Work exclusively to satisfy their intitutional, informational and technical capacity needs.

Build strong communities by working with governments and other organisations.

Team with each other locally, nationally, regionally and internationaly.


CEP PROGRAMS.

In order to accomplish our objectives, CEP runs the following program:

Environmental Information Program (EIP).

CEP through the environmental information program is involved in gathering, collating and disseminating to its partners and other stake holders,resources and information especially "best practices " in environmental protection and sustainable development.


Capacity-Building Program(CP).

CEP makes sure that NGOs and CSOs working in the field of envirnment and sustainable development perform at optimum level by providing variety of regular ,relevant training and professeional exchange programs, study tours, workshops, seminars and roundtables.


Environmental Stake-holders Forum (ESF )

ESF is an annual get-together of stake-holders to genrate new innitiatives on identified issues of the environment. It is a platform for establishing a vibrant network for the exchange of ideas, sharing of resources and supporting other initiatives.

The forum will also be used to initiate viable mobilization strategies for comprehensive environmental reforms and transformation process through the development of environmental information, education and communication ( IEC ) materials and other public enlightenment mechanisms.


Generation-unborn Youth Program ( GYP ).

CEP uses its network (WAGNET) to organize an annual youth program aimed at assisting the young people in developing a personal commitment to, and knowledge of the envirnment by focusing on local and global environment and sustainable development issues which will enpower them to make necessary changes in order to achieve a better, fairer and safer environment for all especially for the generation -unborn.
